Recipes

We have been asked several times, “what do you eat on a boat?” So many are surprised that you can basically cook as you would do at home, I mean we still have a stove, oven and a compliment of pots and pans. You just have to be a little bit more creative with your space allowed, because you may not be able to bring all your fancy kitchen appliances with you. Which can prove to be a challenge sometimes. We don’t have a microwave or other fancy appliances and everything that needs to be sliced and diced is done by hand, but that doesn’t deter us from eating well, we love to eat! As you can tell by the recipes most of the ingredients can be found easily but we do keep quite a bit of the harder to find ones in stock.

Here in St. Petersburg, we feel that we couldn’t be on a better dock. Everyone is friendly and sometimes just down right crazy! We feel that we fit in perfectly! Every Wednesday, right out in front of our boat, everyone gathers for what is known as “Whiney Wednesday”. It’s a great way to catch up with everyone and find out what’s new, if there are any special events happening, or to just blow off some steam! Aside from bringing your own beverage to drink, which hence the phrase “Whiney”, turns our to be a lot of wine, occasionally someone will also provided something to nibble on as well. And without fail, you can be sure to hear... ’I have to have the recipe!’

So that’s what this page is for. These of course are not everything that we eat here on Bruadair, just some of our favorites, and the ones that we have been asked to give out the recipe for. Try them, send us an E-mail, and let us know what you think, and what changes that you may have made that you think improved them! And of course! we will  always welcome new recipes too! If you have a favorite you’d like to share, we’d  love to try it!
