So, it’s been a while since we updated our site and many of you have reminded of this in the numerous emails over the past month or so. Not much has really been going on as far as sailing goes. David is still at Monkey Bay Marina on the boat and is running the marina as the manager. I have been in California the past few months taking care of some personal business but have had the opportunity to make a couple trips down to the boat. Actually, my next trip down to the Rio will be in two weeks and I can’t wait to get there.

David reports that many of the cruisers are starting to show up a bit early in preperation for this years hurricane season and that the 22 slips in the marina have been booked since this past February. It’ll be exciting to see so many familiar faces as well as some new ones. David’s hectic schedule has been filled with socializing, organizing pot luck dinners at the palapa and even giving some cooking lessons. And his Caribbean Rummy partner, Judy, arrived back in the marina yesterday.

While I’ve been in California I’ve taken the opportunity to visit my mother and two brothers as well as their families. I’ve also been fortunate enough to have the resources of the VA to do some follow up on some personal issues.
