2005

January’s Log - David and I are really enjoying our stay here in St. Petersburg. We’re getting some small boat projects out of the way, helping friends with their boat to get ready for the trip to Isla Mujeres (they’re possibly buddy boating with us), and we’re doing some sight seeing around the St. Petersburg area. We’re also getting some sailing done including a one week trip to the Manatee River

February’s Log - We’re still in St. Petersburg doing the final preparations before we depart for Mexico at the end of the month. All the projects are done, provisioning complete and we picked up one crew member for our trip to Isla Mujeres.

March’s Log - The first week of March was spent sailing from St. Petersburg Florida to Isla Mujeres Mexico. The rest of March was spent hanging around this small island paradise enjoying the clear waters and warm and sunny weather.

April’s Log - We finished up our stay in Isla Mujeres and sailed our way down the Mexican coast to San Pedro, Belize. We buddy boated with some friends and did some island hopping to Placencia, Belize.

May’s Log - Sailed from Placencia, Belize to Livingston, Guatemala. After spending a few days in Livingston we made our way up the Rio Dulce to Mario’s Marina where we will wait out hurricane season.

June’s Log - Logs still are behind but we’ve added photo galleries of our trip to Denny’s Beach and our trip to a Mayan village. We haven’t done any inland travels this month but have been relaxing and enjoying ourselves here on the Rio.

July’s Log - We’re still here on the Rio Dulce. We have included some photo galleries of Fronteras, the local town here as well as photos from the medical clinic I worked with for a two day remote clinic deep in the jungles.

August’s Log - Four photo galleries have been added this month with pictures of things in and around the marina, of La Ezmarelda (the village behind the marina) and of my trip to Isal de Flores, a small town in Northern Guatemala.

September’s Log - We moved the boat to another marina across the river. Damon’s parents flew down for a three week visit so we rented a car and traveled all over Guatemala, 12 photo galleries of our journeys were added this month.

October’s Log - Settling into the new marina, taking on a new job, and a trip back to the United States for one of us..

November’s Log - No new updates this month. Happy Thanksgiving!!

December’s Log - David’s chilling on the Rio and Damon’s headed back for the holidays.
